THE Dragons have brought back their big guns to hunt a European Challenge Cup five-point haul in Russia tomorrow afternoon.

Bernard Jackman’s men take on Enisei-STM at Slava Stadium in Moscow (kick-off 1pm) and they are chasing a bonus point victory to give their quarter-final hopes a boost.

The head coach makes six changes to the side that had to settle for a consolation losing bonus point from a strong performance in the Pool One opener in Newcastle.

Wales internationals lock Cory Hill, full-back Hallam Amos and centre Tyler Morgan along with young Test hopefuls Elliot Dee and Leon Brown, at hooker and tighthead respectively, come back in.

The other change sees Pat Howard come into midfield, the South African getting the call because Jack Dixon has suffered a minor hand injury.

Fly-half Angus O’Brien is rewarded for a man of the match performance in the North East with another start, with Gavin Henson available from the bench, while loosehead Luke Garrett’s strong showing keeps the 1 jersey with Brok Harris sitting out a first game of the campaign.

The Dragons suffered a humiliating 38-18 hammering away to Enisei last season but they are making no secret of their desire to take a maximum haul from the clash with the Russian champions.

“A win and getting a bonus point is a big target for us. It was a great bonus point up in Newcastle, although looking back we should probably have won after letting a couple of chances go,” said analyst Will Precious.

“We want that elusive away win and it’s a great tournament where we let the reins go, the boys love it.

“We rotated in Newcastle so some of the so-called first teamers are fresh going into this game and then it gives us good continuity into the Ospreys.

“It does give us a chance to try a few new things out that we’ve been working on and just continue our attacking form, which has been a massive positive.

“We are right up there in terms of PRO14 tries scored, so the more points we can score the better in terms of confidence for the Ospreys game.”

Enisei's XV features 12 players who played in the win against the Dragons in Krasnodar last season - including influential fly-half Iurii Kushnarev and centre Dmitrii Gerasimov - but they are without giant wing Denis Simplikevich.
