THE latest feature in our From The Archive series shows passengers coming off one of the pleasure steamers which travelled across the Bristol Channel in the1920s.

Here, in this photograph, passengers can be seen disembarking from the Campbell pleasure steamer at Ilfracombe in 1929 having just sailed from Penarth.

Thanks to Images of Bygone Penarth member Evelyn Harvey for submitting this photograph.

Her father Albert Box and grandfather Herbert Box are seen stood behind the two ladies at the front of the queue.

If you have any historical photographs showing Penarth in years gone by we would love to see them.

Simply send them to penarth times@penarthtimes.co.uk with a brief explanation of the history behind the picture and your photo could be featured in the next edition of From The Archive.
