COMEDIAN and BBC radio presenter Owen Money will switch on the Christmas lights in Penarth this year.
The town's annual Christmas Lights Switch On will take place on Sunday, November 19.
One of the highlights of the Penarth calendar, this year’s event happens on Windsor Road from 3pm to 5pm.
For 2017, Mr Money will switch on the lights, accompanied by cast members from the family pantomime Jack and the Beanstalk, which runs in the Paget Rooms from January 4-7.
Bro Radio will host the stage and this year’s festivities include a mass public carol sing-a-long.
There will be rides, food and drink and a performance from the stars of this year's summer carnival, Penarth Circus with animals, face-painting and activities for children also part of the day.=
Father Christmas will also be in attendance to visit the children of Penarth, accompanied by Mrs Claus.
Lights will be switched on at 5pm
Additional information on the pantomime is available from ticketsource.co.uk/pagetrooms.
