THIS year's Remembrance Sunday parade made its way through Penarth on Sunday (November 12)
Following a morning service at All Saints Church, the parade began at 1.15pm and went down Victoria Road, before turning right onto Stanwell Road then right into Rectory Road and down to the Garden of Remembrance in Alexandra Park.
Wreaths were laid at the memorial and a short poem read before the Last Post was played and a moment of silence observed.
Representatives from the army, navy, air force, the Royal British Legion, the Ex-Servicemen's Club, the RNLI, the coastguard, the ambulance service, police, fire service, the town and Vale councils, sea cadets, local schools and current and former MPs Stephen Doughty and Alun Michael were in attendance.
The parade then made its way to the post march event at the Ex-Servicemen's Club.
