THE Anthea M King School of Dancing have helped to raise £750 for good causes, after taking part in a ‘tapathon’ competition on behalf of Children in Need.
Organised by the Performers Project, the dancing school’s 70 students and teachers took part in the event which involved synchronised tap dancing amongst the entire group.
The national event also saw other tappers taking part simultaneously in different venues across the country, as they aimed to break a world record in support of the charity.
Whilst it will take several weeks before the school and their fellow dancers across the UK find out if they managed to break the record, members said that being able to enjoy raising money for a worthwhile cause by doing what they love was something worth celebrating in itself.
The school, which was established in 1981, caters for students aged four years and above and hosts classes in Barry, Sully and Penarth.
