DOMINO'S Pizza will officially open in Penarth town centre this Friday creating 25 local jobs, the company says.

The new store will open in Stanwell Road, Penarth, on Friday, December 8 in a move which the company says will offer job opportunities for the local community.

Domino’s will be creating 25 local positions including pizza makers, customer service colleagues and delivery drivers.

The new store was approved in October this year after previous attempts to open stores on Windsor Terrace and at the former Blockbuster store on the corner of Hickman Road and Windsor Road fell through.

Moshin Kazmi, area manager for Penarth Domino’s said: "We’re thrilled to be opening our doors to the people of Penarth, and we’re celebrating the opening by offering 50 per cent off pizza when you spend £20 or more online with code PENARTH5*."

"There’s also plenty of employment opportunity for people living in Penarth, so we look forward to welcoming local pizza superstars to join our growing team.

"In particular we’re searching for delivery drivers, who can provide exceptional customer service, and demonstrate integrity, honesty and reliability, as well as being pepperoni passionate for freshly made pizza."

As part of its recently launched TeamSkills programme, Domino’s says it offers colleagues full induction training.

Domino’s says it recruits on the basis of ability with many team members going on to management positions in under two years.
