THIS week’s From the Archive feature focuses on the redevelopment of Ferry Road during the 1990s.
This photo, which was taken in the early part of the decade, shows the famous Penarth head in the background as the Cardiff Bay redevelopment project is carried out.
The Red House pub is still visible whilst the surrounding area is being cleared to make way for the blocks of apartments which were soon to be built.
Many thanks to Andrew Coslett from Images of Bygone Penarth for supplying this week’s photograph.
If you have any historical photographs of Penarth you would like to share we would love to see them.
Email your submissions to pe narthtimes@penarthtimes.co.uk with a short explanation of their background and yours could be the next to feature in our From the Archive series exploring the history of Penarth in pictures.
