THE Dinas Powys Art Group held their annual exhibition in the Parish Hall.
The chairman of the community council Cllr Steve Thomas presented the prizes and congratulated all who had entered the show.
He said he was also pleased to meet the winner of the St Andrews School Year 5 Art Exhibition and Competition on the theme of Australia.
Councillor Thomas said that he was delighted there was "encouragement to attract young people to take an interest in painting".
He said: “I was impressed with the standard of the work of both the junior and open exhibition. I look forward to future shows.”
The overall winner was Samuel May with Jacob Reese and Finley Jenkins producing paintings demonstrating a great effort. All three were encouraged to continue painting.
The judges said that Sam created a landscape of Uluru that is "full of depth and dimension."
