AROUND 300 people visited the seventh Penarth Literature Festival this year.
The event - which is organised and ran by Griffin Books - saw eight events take place over three days - with one of the most popular events being an afternoon with broadcaster Roy Noble.
Speaking about the festival's success, bookshop owner Mel Griffin said: "This year's Festival was a real treat, with such a varied programme of events ranging from poetry to romantic fiction, art history to walking the Wales coast path, and not forgetting the evening of anecdotes from the ever popular broadcaster Roy Noble.
"We really enjoyed putting the Festival on and hope everyone enjoyed attending, despite the very warm weather conditions."
Festival administrator Elin Davies added: "A huge thank you to all our venues, and special thanks to Shelley Norton and team from Talent Shack for running a fantastic children's session based on Elmer the Elephant.
"We're already looking forward to an even bigger and better Penarth Literature Festival next year."
