VOLUNTEERS were left to clean up after a break-in at the Lifeboat Souvenir Shop, on the Esplanade, Penarth in the early hours of April 27. Maldwyn Hopkins, Martyn Bromley D.L.A and Anne Bromley (Hon souvenir secretary) are pictured here.

The break-in will not deter the volunteers from their fundraising - and the shop will be open as usual from May to September, starting Monday, May 5, daily from 2pm to 5pm.

The window probably cost more than the items that were stolen. What a waste!

Pity we could not find the perpetrator and take him out on the next Shout - just to show what these people do, For Free. Let's hope the insurance foots the bill...!
