THE annual Penarth Christmas Tree Festival is now in its 10th year and will once again be held in St Augustine’s Church, Penarth, this year on Saturday and Sunday, December 10 and 11.
The times of opening for viewing the trees will be 10am to 6pm on the Saturday and 12 noon to 4.30pm on the Sunday.
Admission will be £2.50, concession £2, accompanied children free.
All proceeds after expenses will, as usual, go to charities and to mark the 10th birthday, it is planned to share the proceeds between 10 charities. Over the last 9 years the festival has raised some £25,000.
There will be live music throughout, and the famous Pendryus Male Choir will bring the festival to a close with a special concert on the Sunday evening at 7.30pm.
It all starts on the Saturday will breakfast for children at 10am in the Church Hall on Albert Road, when, along with civic dignitaries, Santa will be there with his notebook and pencil.
