PENARTH women are invited to take part in a ‘girls night out’ with a difference - a ten-mile midnight walk for charity.
The ladies-only challenge on Friday, May 6 has been organised to raise money for The Joshua Foundation, which provides experiences and holidays for children with cancer.
Foundation president Sarah Cornelius-Price said: "Last year 300 women took part and raised £25,000 for the charity.
"We are aiming higher this year – and by having 500 women take part we could raise £50,000."
The walk will start and finish in front of the Cardiff International White Water centre (just across the Pont y Werin from Penarth), with a prize for best fancy dress on the night.
Entrants must pay a £15 donation - in return they will receive an ‘Ab Fab’ t-shirt, a pre-warm-up from DW Fitness, entertainment, a certificate, and breakfast with a glass of bubbly on completion of the walk.
They are also asked to fundraise for the charity.
While the walk is aimed at women, men are welcome to offer their services as marshals for the event.
For further information, to register for the walk, or to register as a marshal, visit www.thejoshuafoundation.co.uk or telephone 02920 667271
