A PENARTH man is preparing to become the butt of all jokes for Comic Relief, by getting a tattoo of one of the charities symbols - on his backside!
Mark Quick, of Arcot Street, is getting the picture of charity pirate, Captain Conk, inked this afternoon (Thursday) at 4pm.
The 25-year-old is having the work done at new Penarth tattoo shop, Alley Cat Ink on Glebe Street.
Mark has already reached his intended sponsorship target of £500 – but said he would welcome further donations.
“It’s for a good cause and it’s something a bit different,” he said.
“It’s called Comic Relief for a reason and I think this is pretty comical!”
The pirate symbol was chosen out of three design possibilities via a majority vote by those who donated cash.
“I mentioned it to a few of my friends and got a good response – they all said it would be hilarious,” added Mark.
“I’ve always wanted to do something for Comic Relief and this is the year!”
