6TH Penarth Cub Scouts paid their second visit to the Water Treatment Works at Cog Moors during December.

They had been there earlier in the year pond dipping.

This time they collected leaves to decorate a star which they each made from pieces of willow. Their stars were made in stages under the professional and watchful eye of teacher Deb Jones, who oversees the educational facilities on site. On this occasion each Cub had a beautifully decorated handmade star to take home for Christmas, and Deb gave them a calendar for 2012 showing a photograph of the Pack which she had taken that morning. The Cubs had a great time and loved the challenge.

The Group require more adults to assist with the running of the sections.
