Top vegetarian chef to return to Penarth's Fig Tree restaurant

FOLLOWING on from the huge success of an earlier guest chef slot, The Fig Tree in Penarth is delighted to welcome back David Tomlinson, the vegetarian chef loved by veggies and meat-eaters alike.

David will be cooking at The Fig Tree from March 5-10, and will be putting together a delicious menu featuring the finest spring produce.

David, who now runs a guest house in southern France, was a renowned chef in South Wales and gained a fine reputation when he ran Tomlins restaurant in Penarth.

Mike Caplan-Hill, owner of the The Fig Tree on Penarth's Esplanade, said: "David’s food is exceptional – even committed carnivores enjoy it!

"It’s also a great treat for vegetarians to have an entire menu devised specifically for them."

There is one caveat to vegetarian instead of vegan food. Animal protein, particularly cow milk protein, binds with all the healing antioxidants and renders them USELESS to our body! It's so easy and healthier to be vegan!
