CURVES Penarth has hailed a ‘terrific response’ to its recent Food Drive promotion.
Thanks to donations made via the women-only gym, more than 22-stones worth of non-perishable food was donated to Tabernacle Church to help feed those in crisis.
The promotion included a free month’s membership to Curves on donation.
Louise Eveleigh, manager of the gym, said: "We would like to thank the Penarth community for all their generous donations. It was a truly terrific response!"
Food is still being collected by Tabernacle on Plassey Street.
