Police appeal after alleged sex assault at caravan park

POLICE are appealing for information following a report of a sexual assault at a caravan park in Sully.

A 22-year-old woman was said to have been assaulted by an unknown male at around 4am on Monday, June 25, after a taxi dropped her off at Island View Caravan Park.

Officers are keen to speak to the taxi driver who took the man and woman to the caravan park. It is believed the fare originated in Cardiff City centre, possibly on Churchill Way, and then went on to Adamsdown, before continuing to Sully.

The male is reported to have spoken with a strong foreign - possibly Italian - accent.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Barry CID on 01446 731 606 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
