A mountain of thanks to the customers and friends of Hamptons Penarth!

MOUNTAIN OF THANKS: Kerry and Kelsey, brother and sister Labrador/Springer cross, with Peter of Hamptons, Sylvia of Many Tears, and Andy (Hamptons). MOUNTAIN OF THANKS: Kerry and Kelsey, brother and sister Labrador/Springer cross, with Peter of Hamptons, Sylvia of Many Tears, and Andy (Hamptons).

A MOUNTAIN of blankets and towels, generously donated by Hamptons customers, have recently been delivered to Many Tears Animal Rescue in West Wales.

These items are desperately needed for bathing the dogs when they first arrive and for bedding.

Andy Bradshaw and Peter Knowles of Hamptons also took a cheque for £300 - which is the proceeds from the 5ps from their carrier bag charge, plus donations. This brings the total raised by Hamptons customers to £800!

Peter said: "Many Tears is close to our hearts as both Roxy and Millie, the Westies who will be known to many Hamptons customers, came from this wonderful animal rescue centre.

"Many Tears Animal Rescue mainly takes in ex-breeding dogs and las-day-at-the-pound dogs. They neuter, worm, microchip and inoculate all the dogs and with the help of fosterers across the UK they socialise, train and love them until forever homes are found.

"Together with the fantastic support from our customers, we're delighted to help."

While at Many Tears, Sylvia who runs the centre introduced Andy and Peter to Kerry and Kelsey who are an adorable brother and sister Labrador/Springer cross.

Their previous owner had died and they were sent to the pound. No-one wanted them and on the day they were due to be put to sleep, a kind person stepped in and took them to Many Tears. They are devoted to each other and need to go to a new home together.

Finding a home for two dogs together is always a challenge so if anyone can offer Kerry and Kelsey their happy-ever-after home or knows someone who might, please get in contact with Many Tears.

Further details about Kerry and Kelsey and all of the dogs looking for new families can be found at the Many Tears website www.manytears.co.uk All of the 5ps for carrier bags at Hamptons will continue to be donated to Many Tears and Hamptons is continuing to collect blankets and towels as well as collars and leads - new and used.
