Penarth Chess Club to start junior section

PENARTH Chess Club is starting a junior section on Wednesday, October 3 at the Conservative Club in Stanwell Road. The club will be open to children in school years 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9.and anyone, including absolute beginners, is welcome.
Sessions will run from 6.30pm to 8.30pm. The first hour will be devoted to some coaching and related exercises, and in the second hour players will have the opportunity to play competitive or friendly games, as they choose.
Parents of those intending to come along should ring junior organiser David Sully (accredited chess coach, CRB certificate), on 029 2089 0641 to give an idea of numbers.
* Penarth Chess Club adults meet every Monday at 7.30pm at Penarth Conservative Club. All welcome.
