ON Saturday, October 6, All Saints' Church in Victoria Square, Penarth will host a special afternoon with fun and music for Children in Need.

In June, six-year-old Victoria Primary pupil Beatrice Spence, who has been playing violin for almost two years, came up with the idea of holding a charity concert for Children in Need.

And she has invited her friends Tom and Emma Sharpe (both of Stanwell School) and their mum Rebecca to play violin, piano and sing at the concert.

The programme consists of cheerful tunes that Beatrice has learned from school, and theme tunes from movies and popular kids' TV programmes, as well as some well-known classical pieces. They are very much chosen with young children in mind.

"The concert is going to be exciting for children and grown-ups, and there will also be scrumptious biscuits afterwards!" said Beatrice.

In order to raise money for Children in Need, tickets will be sold at £1 each and there will be homemade biscuits and drinks for sale afterwards. The concert will start at 4pm.

To book a ticket, text or ring 07880 610576 or pay at the door.
