THE Penarth businesswoman behind the Vale of Glamorgan Ty Pili Pala Survivor Centre is hosting a wellbeing event in Cardiff Bay in October, to raise funds for the project.
Nicki Page, owner of marketing company Page1 World, hopes to raise one million and one pounds for the local scheme she envisions, to support women in Wales with gynaecological cancer.
To contribute to that total she will hold the Art of Wellbeing event at St David's Hotel and Spa - and she is giving away ten free tickets to Penarth Times readers.
Running from October 5 to 7, Nicki said the event would, through its speakers and sponsors, 'help to inspire and encourage those that want to achieve a more balanced lifestyle and a positive, better way of living'.
"The Art of Wellbeing has been created as a platform to support a vision to create Ty Pili Pala, a survivor and thrivers centre providing complimentary treatments for women on their journey to recovery in the Vale of Glamorgan," said the former Stanwell pupil.
"The aim of the event is to provide workshops and sessions to help us all make informed decisions on how we can embrace a better way of living."
Nicki said donations and volunteers from the local community were still needed to make her vision a reality.
"The founders of the wellbeing event have dedicated their time and professional input to actualise this, and donations on the day will go directly towards the project," she added.
After premiering in Cardiff, Nicki intends to launch the Art of Wellbeing in London at the 5-star Wyndham Hotel in September 2013, before moving it to the Gulf and Asia.
She also recently launched the Page1World Diamond Night in London at the Dorchester Hotel, which she called a 'complete triumph'.
Penarth sculptor Luke Shepherd, a school friend of Nicki, also attended.
