ON Monday, September 3, at Trinity Methodist Church, Penarth personal trainer and fitness expert Sian Thomas started a four-week indoor fitness and fat loss boot camp to raise money for Marie Curie Cancer Care.

The charity is close to Sian's heart as Marie Curie nurses helped and supported her family while her grandma was ill with cancer, and allowed her to spend her last days at home.

Sian has so far raised £1,783 to help the charity, as well as having the ongoing goal to make Penarth the healthiest town in the country!

During the charity boot camp, participants receive three hour-long workout sessions a week for four weeks. They also receive a nutrition plan, cook book, and nutritional coaching from Sian.

Another boot camp will start on October 1, with sessions running at 9.30am on Monday, Tuesday and Friday mornings at Trinity Methodist Church, Penarth.

To book a place on the free trial week of Smash The Fat or for more information go to www.fitnessbootcampcardiff or email sian@fitnessbootcampcardiff.com  or call Sian on 07792 638995.

* Sian is also holding an eight week pre-Christmas transformation contest, where the winner will receive a £100 dinner dress or shirt of their choice to wear for their Christmas Party.

"It's usually this time of year that people can lose their motivation for health and fitness, and a contest is the best way to help people focus right up until Christmas," she said.

The Transformation Contest will start on October 1. For more information contact her as above.
