Your chance to suggest names for new Penarth streets

LOCAL residents can help choose the names of the remaining streets at Penarth Heights, as the development moves into its final phase.

Although names are usually chosen by councillors in discussion with the developers and the cabinet member, the new Vale and town councillors said they felt it was a ‘wonderful opportunity to involve local people’.

Cllr Mike Cuddy, Leader of Penarth Town Council, said he hoped people would get their thinking caps on.

“Penarth is a special town with a rich history involving a huge range of talented people, and it would be wonderful if local people could suggest some special names for this prominent development,” he said.

Vale Council Cabinet Member for Planning and local councillor Lis Burnett added: “Time is quite short and we need ideas by Wednesday October 17.”

Suggestions can be taken in person to Penarth Town Council in West House or emailed to Cllr Burnett at lburnett@valeofglamorgan.gov.uk
