Penarth walk in support of April Jones Fund

A WALK is to be held in Penarth in support of the April Jones Fund set up by Machynlleth Town Council.

Meeting at the Cliff Tops playground at 11am on Sunday (October 14), the procesion will make the short walk to the pier and release pink balloons in tribute to the missing five-year-old.

The Penarth mum who is organising the walk said: "We ask if everyone could wear something pink where possible or a pink ribbon.

"Also bring a £1 per person donation and if possible a pink balloon to release on the seafront or Pier, to show we care for the family and friends in Machynlleth as well as all the unpaid volunteers, police and rescue teams that are dedicated to this cause."

All are welcome and donations, as well as money collected along the way, will be paid directly to the April Jones Fund.
