THE members of Sully U3A had a talk at their monthly meeting by Al Venables on the wildlife of the High Artic – based on an expedition he took part in to Spitsbergen.

He displayed many photos of polar bears, walruses, seals, whales, Artic terns to name but a few of the many birds and animals at the meeting held on Thursday, January 12.

Many of these pictures were taken from a rubber dinghy close to the shoreline of the island’s many fjords and bays.

The following day, Friday, January 13, 25 members of Sully U3A walking group, went on their annual new year walk around Cardiff Bay followed by a lunch at the Custom House, Penarth Marina.

Sully U3A has over 30 interest groups ranging from Art to Ukulele.

The next monthly meeting will be on Thursday, February 9 when the drama group will be putting on the pantomime with no name, written by a member of the group.
