PENARTH Air Cadets held a quiz recently to raise money to pay for a trip to London in the summer.

On Saturday, February 4, cadets walked 12 miles in preparations for the RAF WARMA march in April.

Feet were a little sore after that but the cadets loved a challenge.

On Sunday, the cadets took part in a parade to celebrate the 76th Anniversary of the Air Training Corps forming.

There were 250 cadets and staff that took part in the parade at MOD St Athan. This was followed by an afternoon of activities including archery, making solar powered go carts and getting the Heartstart award.

On Monday evening (February 6) at the squadron, cadets learnt about the Aerospace opportunities the Air Cadets offer as well as learning knots ready for them to go climbing soon.

Tuesday evening was spent at Llandaff TA barracks shooting and trying to get their marksmanship badges.

Wednesday evening was spent developing cadets leadership skills and applying those to a number of exercises.
