WHAT the Dickens will be going on in Dinas Powys this week?
It's the annual Dickensian evening of course, organised by the Rotary Club of Dinas Powis, and supported by a whole host of local businesses, community groups and schoolchildren.
It's a fantastic family event, as anyone who has ever been will tell you – and this year it takes place on Friday, December 5.
With all the fun of the Dickensian Fayre taking place in and around the village square, it's the perfect way to really get into the festive spirit.
There'll be stalls galore, with fun, food, drink and entertainment to suit all ages.
You'll have the chance to pick up crafts and gifts - making ideal Christmas presents.
You can also win prizes and help support a host of local charities at their fundraising stalls.
The youngsters can meet Santa in his grotto, and you'll be able to enjoy the whole evening to the sound of traditional carols, played by the Vale of Glamorgan Brass Band.
And, if you're feeling chilly, a glass of hot mulled wine should warm you up in no time!
So why not come along and soak up the atmosphere!
The fun starts at 6pm and runs through until 8.30pm.
(the village square will of course be closed to traffic)
