DOCTOR WHO returned to Penarth this week – in his preferred mode of transport!

BBC cameras set up on Victoria Road to film what is thought to be the Christmas special of the sci-fi hit, and Penarth Times reader Steve Johnson caught the action on camera and sent us these pictures.

The iconic TARDIS (Time And Relative Dimension In Space) was on location as filming took place for the festive edition of Russell T Davies' Bafta Award-winning time-travelling drama.

The episode will be actor David Tennant’s last in the role, with Matt Smith set to take over as the Time Lord in 2010.
