HE CCTV operation working under the umbrella of the Safer Vale Partnership assisted with five arrests in the week to Sunday, June 28.

CCTV contacted the police on 40 occasions, with one person arrested for theft and breach of ASBO (June 22, Windsor Road, Penarth), another arrested on suspicion of burglary (June 23, Little Main St, Barry) and two persons arrested for theft (June 23, Holton Road, Barry).

An additional arrest for breach of ASBO took place at Windsor Road, Penarth (June 28).

*The Safer Vale Partnership comprises representatives of the Vale Council, Police, Fire and Rescue, Probation and Crown Prosecution Services, Vale Local Health Board, NHS Trusts, Vale Council for Voluntary Service and other statutory and voluntary bodies.
