POLICE have arrested three more people in connection with an assault on a Dinas Powys man, who was attacked while asleep in his home last August.
Three masked men raided the Westra home of Kenneth Britton at 4am on August 16 and subjected the 46-year-old to what officers described at the time as a ‘terrible ordeal’.
Four people were arrested in March on suspicion of conspiracy to rob. Now officers have arrested a further three people.
A 24-year-old man from the Newport area and two men aged 25 and 30 from Liverpool were arrested in connection with the raid. They were also arrested in connection with a burglary in Church Road, Cardiff, on July 23, in which a man was assaulted and a substantial amount of money was taken.
All three remain in custody.
Officers investigating the burglaries are now re-appealing for witnesses, or anyone with information, to contact them at Penarth on 02920 571581 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
