All the fun of the fair!

CHILDREN will have the chance to meet popular S4C cartoon character Holi Hana and her friends at a Penarth school’s summer fair this Saturday, July 4.

The larger than life animal characters will be meeting and greeting visitors to Ysgol Pen Y Garth and joining in the fun of the fair, which takes place at the Redlands Road school from 11.30am till 1.30pm.

With fun-filled activities including a bouncy castle, 5-a-side football, nail decorating, temporary tattoos, arts and crafts, lucky dip and a range of popular traditional fairground games, the fair is set to be a great family day out.

A special cafe quarter will also feature with Ysgol Pen Y Garth's popular annual barbecue and spit-roast.

Strawberry cream teas will be on the menu along with hot dogs and home made cakes to try with tea and coffee. Stalls at the fair will be selling garden plants, bargain books, bottles, toys and DVDs.

Louise Williams, of Ysgol Pen Y Garth Parent Teacher Association, said: "It promises to be a fun-packed day, and we would love people from all over Penarth to come and join in the fun of the fair.”
