Police appeal over bike theft


POLICE in Penarth are investigating the theft of a distinctive silver men's mountain bike from Andrew Road, near the leisure centre in the Cogan area of the town.

At the time of the theft the bike was secured with a chain to a garden gate - both the cycle and the chain have been stolen.

The theft occurred between 2pm on Saturday, February 27 and 9am the following morning (Sunday, February 28).

The bicycle is a GT Avalanche 1.0 silver men's mountain bike with a 24 speed gearing. It had a rack for a child's seat attached to the rear.

Police are appealing to anyone with information to contact Police Constable Emma Fitzgerald at Penarth police station on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
