TWELVE students of the Mark Jermin Stage School, Penarth, took to the stage with Marti Pellow on Wednesday and Thursday, July 6 and 7, in Bill Kenwright’s touring production of Jekyll and Hyde in the Wales Millennium Centre.
The children performed in a number of the songs from the hit musical including ‘Alive’ and ‘Facade’.
Stage school student Caitlin Taylor said: "I loved the week of performing, I hadn’t performed in this show before so it was really fun learning all the new songs."
Mark Jermin, stage school director said: "It is a huge opportunity and a wonderful experience for these children to get to work on a professional touring production. The children were excellent in the show and I’m sure they will get more opportunities like this in the future." The next show the children will be appearing in is Joseph and his Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat at The New Theatre in Cardiff in November.
The Mark Jermin Stage School runs every Friday evening in Trinity Church Hall, Penarth. For information contact Sara on 01792 458855.
