I AM writing on behalf of the newly formed Friends of St Augustine’s to thank everyone for turning out for the launch on Saturday evening.
We were delighted by the number of people who came and by the number who joined. Several people have contacted us to say they couldn’t wait in the queue but do want to become members.
Anyone who couldn’t join on Saturday, or who couldn’t attend, is welcome to contact me on 029 2070 7828 or email triciagriffiths65@yahoo.co.uk
Our thanks are also due to those who made the evening so enjoyable, particularly Robert Court who delighted us with a recital and insights into the complexities of a pipe organ; the Cavatina Choir; and Captain Sir Norman Lloyd Edwards who launched the Friends in fine style.
