UNBELIEVABLY we now have food banks in both Penarth and Dinas Powys. Families can no longer afford to feed their children or heat their homes.

Conversely we also have a great deal of wealth in this area.

If shoppers who can afford it would buy £5 or so worth of goods each time they shop, then take it to Tabernacle in Penarth or the centre in Dinas Powys, it could make an enormous difference to hungry families.

This is about the price of a couple of lattes.

Supermarkets are giving away £25 vouchers to loyal customers. If it's just a game to you, hand those over as well.

This is not a one way transaction. My mother always said it was far more blessed to give than to receive.

Happy Christmas everybody.
