THE 2012 Penarth Branch British Legion Poppy appeal achieved £26,000, which is £3,500 less than last year but still a great amount.
I would like to thank the volunteers for collecting this magnificent sum of money. Thanks to all schools for donations and collections and many thanks to the Sea, Army and RAF Cadets.
Penarth retail outlets were very helpful to our cause and my thanks go to them for helping to raise this great sum. Special thanks to Alan and Hazel, also Mrs Twynham plus all branch committee members involved in Poppy Appeal.
