Group’s site proves a hit

THE Vale 50+ Strategy Forum (previously known as Vale Older People’s Strategy Forum) has had another good year in terms of visits to its website, which can be found at www.valeopf.org .uk.

From January to December 2012, the website received 40,000 hits, through 10,854 visits; people have downloaded 29,000 files and read 19,767 pages. The website provides a wealth of information on housing, health, transport, age discrimination, art and craft, leisure, research and consultation projects.

It also features a useful information page, learning section, information about volunteering and much more.

On average people in about 20 countries visit our website – the most frequent visitors being from the United States, Russia and China.

Come and see a part of our ‘Memory Lane Project’ at The Skills for Life event which is being held at Barry Library on January 15, by the Vale Adult Learning Network.
