Join Welsh sing song

THE sum of £206 was raised towards the Ty Cadog campaign during Friday’s quiz in the Windsor Arms. Many thanks to all who took part. It was a pleasure to see such a mixture of ages, and all levels of ability in the Welsh language, enjoying the sgwrs (chat) and hwyl (fun).
Our next event will be a noson canu Cymraeg (a Welsh singalong evening), at 7.30pm on January 25 in the Windsor Arms, Penarth. No charge for attending but a collection will be held on the night.
This will be a chance to celebrate the day of Santes Dwynwen (the Welsh St Valentine) by demonstrating your love for the Welsh language, Welsh songs, or just singing in general.
You don’t need to be able to speak Welsh – everyone can sing in this beautiful language of ours, even if they don’t understand what they’re singing. Croeso mawr i bawb – a warm welcome to all.
