Dog attacks at Cosmeston

MY husband walks our dog to Cosmeston pretty often, and our dog is always kept on a lead. About two years ago, while myself, my husband, our dog and grandson – who was in a pushchair at the time – were walking in Cosmeston, an Irish wolfhound came running at us and attacked our dog, and in the process nearly knocked the pushchair over.

At that time the owner was not in sight. A few minutes later he appeared and called his dog off. About a year later my husband was walking through the little pathway on his way to Cosmeston with our dog and the wolfhound appeared again, not on a lead, and again attacked our dog, but this time my husband ended up getting bitten. This weekend my husband took the dog to Cosmeston and our dog was attacked, yet again, by the same dog – and again he wasn’t on a lead. We are dog lovers, but surely if your dog has attacked more than once then keep it on a lead. I would like to know if any other dogs have been attacked by this dog? I have now reported it to the police.
