Shoreline well done

I AM writing about the ongoing work presently being undertaken at the shoreline at Sully.

I am really delighted to see the depth to which the beach has been cleaned of iron and cement blocks – they dug to 14’ I’m told.

I have talked with the man crushing the blocks and he tells me that the stone chips are of excellent quality and will be a local resource – intriguing! That the groynes are set at odd angles, one wonders whether this reflects knowledge of local currents in the channel or perhaps part ownership of the foreshore. The beach has been an eyesore for years. The present clean-up was long overdue and one wonders why this concrete was ever allowed to be placed there in the first place.

So well done and all power to this clean up.
