Big brother still at large
11:28am Thursday 14th February 2013 in Letters
I'M sorry to see big brother is alive and well and thriving in Penarth.
Firstly we have the proposals for 20mph zones even though in most places you would have to be either very lucky or insane to get up to that speed. The roads in and out of Penarth at school start and stop times are gridlocked and you are lucky to travel at 5mph. The side roads are down to single track with cars and vans parked on both sides. Throw in the pot holes and it is impossible to speed without damaging your own vehicle. At times the buses can't get by, especially at school start/stop times, with parents parking to drop off and collect children.
We now have a proposal to ban dogs from all play areas. This has already been done in Victoria park on the grounds that it is a school playing field even though the school only use it a few times a year in the summer, leaving the park empty and unused for most of the rest of the year. They even marked out a football pitch last year, I haven't seen anyone use it yet.
Come on get a life and learn to co-exist!
Please don't print my name and address as I would hate to think what will happen if the thought police get hold of me.
