Concerned about path

IN RESPONSE the letter by "name and address supplied" regarding the Ash Path (Penarth Times, February 7).

Firstly, my son is now 31-years-old and had to endure this path.

Secondly, the children have to use this path as young as 11-years-old, the Dinas site is now not used.

Thirdly, my 14-year-old daughter, like many of her age, do not drop litter - a small majority do but not all.

Fourthly, the children aren't allowed to wear wellingtons in school and, as they have no lockers, have to carry their books around all day so this is asking too much.

Fifthly I am glad that Councillor Franks is taking an interest in this as my inquiries to the council have been time consuming and expensive - still no-one has bothered to return my calls.

Finally, surely drainage (my thought) is not going to affect wildlife?

I am sorry but as a responsible parent, I tend to worry about my daughter's welfare as she has missed an unacceptable amount of school due to sitting around in wet clothes up to her knees all of the school day.

If we were allowed a school bus from Dinas we would both be happy. So come on Council!
