Sully traveller site

IS it credible to believe in a week after one of the main news issues has been the coverage of 100 police officers, some armed, searching traveller sites in South Wales for a body, after a vulnerable man had escaped from one such site after being reported missing thirteen years ago, and living in servitude, that such a site is proposed next to a home for vulnerable people in Sully?
Was it only last year that the Vale Council spent vast sums ridding this area of dying and dead fly grazed horses, dumped there by the traveller community? Residents in Sully are still acutely aware of a vulnerable woman in Sully targeted by travellers and stripped of her life savings eighteen months ago. On Wednesday last week didn't a spokesman for Age Concern Cymru on the Welsh news warn us about the dangers of fraud committed by cold callers touting for drive cleaning work, tarmacking etc and targeting the elderly? Sully is an area where many such people live retired in bungalows there.
Drive along the coast road between Cardiff and Newport see the piles of fly tipped waste in the area, bedraggled horses, running loose and shackled along the road, what contingencies are planned for this - none.
If there is a need for these people to be housed why can't they forsake their caravans and apply for local authority housing like everyone else, why must a respectful, law abiding, tax paying low crime community like Sully be blighted to cater for people who see such communities as an easy target? What about the silent majority who abide by the regulations and pay council tax supposedly to receive a service from elected councillors. When are the next elections?
