Penarth Pier Pavilion Cinema cosy and comfortable
2:16pm Thursday 24th October 2013 in Letters
WE would like to extend a big thank you to all those who have visited the new Penarth Pier Pavilion Cinema in the past week. We have been amazed by the support of the community of Penarth and hope to welcome more of you soon.
In response to L Beaton's letter to the Penarth Times on October 17, we want to reassure people that the cinema is open to all and though it may be smaller than your average multiplex screen, we believe that it will enable many people to see a wide range of films. As a multi-purpose building, the Pavilion will serve the community of Penarth and the Vale in many different ways, and the cinema has been made as large as possible so that it can provide a cosy and comfortable film-viewing experience without affecting the other areas of the building. It enables us to show bigger budget films such Rush, Captain Phillips and Blue Jasmine as well as classic and independent films like Renoir, Plein Soleil and Sleep Furiously.
Our full cinema programme will be available at least a month ahead so that the whole community has a chance to book films they don’t want to miss. We are also keeping an eye on ticket sales; if demand exceeds supply, we have the flexibility to add more showings!
I'd advise anyone who would like to come to the Pavilion Cinema to take a look at our programme online at www.penarthpavilion.co.uk or pick up a programme from the office on the Esplanade.
We look forward to seeing you at the cinema soon!
