IN response to the letter from Cllr Neil Moore, leader of the Vale of Glamorgan Council, pointing out Andrew RT Davies had made an attack on him (Penarth Times, October 24).
I wish to comment on what I feel to be a childish and derogatory letter and I must point out that I find it a disgrace for Mr Moore to suggest that Andrew RT Davies makes things up on a regular basis - this sounds like a statement from a child in nursery school, hardly a statement that should be made by a leader of the Vale of Glamorgan Council.
Personally I have the highest respect for Andrew RT Davies who even visited the proposed site that the Vale of Glamorgan Council with their Local Development Plan (LDP) is pushing for a ridiculous amount of housing and a Primary School where I live in Lavernock, which very few people want as the infrastructure will certainly not support it. Neil Moore has led people to believe that the Paget rooms meeting indicated that this was favourable to residents - that is far from the truth. Also on the Dinas Powys Facebook page opposed to the LDP in their area they have pointed out Neil Moore's comments how people should complain to the Welsh Government and Arriva Trains if they are not happy with a service they would use, and their wording was he said it was tough!
Andrew R T Davies is always very fair and goes out of his way to meet with us as he did regarding the larger housing project , which was obviously not accepted. He always answers questions and has always appeared to be extremely professional. I have dealt with him on many other occasions to with the fly grazing etc and unlike the Vale of Glamorgan Council has always immediately answered my emails and letters. Where are the letters to residents regarding LDP housing projects. We funnily enough have to pay council tax too. It is not acceptable for the Vale of Glamorgan Council to put their proposals on lamposts. A lot of elderly residents do not get the Penarth Times and other newspapers or use a library as many have failing eyesight and cannot see deadlines that the Vale Council is rushing through to build, never mind the disastrous consequences and lowering the price of our properties.
