I WOULD like to extend an invitation to members of the public to a social event I am organising on Saturday, December 7, at the Cwm Talwg pub, Severn Avenue, Barry, starting at 7pm.

With the wonderful summer we’ve had in 2013 thousands more people have discovered for themselves the enjoyment of naturism, whether in their own gardens, on a beach in the UK or in a holiday resort abroad.

In recent years I have organised a number of trips to Flat Holm and Steep Holm many other events are organised across the UK, from restaurant and pub nights to hotel weekends in Blackpool, Dunoon and Alton Towers. There is also an annual week-long celebration of naturism at a holiday park in Cornwall where the high spot of this year’s Nudefest was naked fire walking.

Many of your readers will have joined in the Great British Skinny Dip for charity, or taken part in one of the World Naked Bike Rides to raise awareness of the pollution in cities caused by gas-guzzling cars.

But folk must be wondering what we do in the winter months when it’s too cold for all but the hardiest individuals to venture outside and this is where my Meet and Greet comes in.

I’m inviting naturists, their families and friends and those interested in finding out more about social naturism to come along to a social event (clothes will be worn, in case you were wondering) where I will have lots of information on the opportunities in South Wales such as swims, campsites, and clubs, as well as information on naturism for families and young people. There will also be a buffet, a fun quiz and a raffle.

My hope is that it will lead to further fully naturist events and forging new friendships with like-minded people. If anyone wants more information on the Meet and Greet, or about naturism in general, you can phone me on 0781 777 3479.
