I AM writing to you in the hope you would possibly be able to help me.

My boyfriend is a very keen football fan at all levels and as a hobby he collects official metal supporters club badges from every league, ex league and non-league football club.

He has at least one from every league club with the exception of only a few clubs. Two of the supporters club badges which have so far eluded him are from South Wales.

One is from Cardiff City supporter's club. I have wrote to the club direct but unfortunately they were unable to be of assistance. They have produced at least 10 different versions of supporters club badges over the years dating back to the 1930s. They have not been issued for a few years now.

The other Welsh club is Aberdare Athletic. They were in the football league many years ago and my boyfriend knows of at least three different supporters club badges produced by Aberdare Athletic during or just after the same period. I can not contact the club direct as no contact information exists.

When I ask him what he wants for Christmas, he replies just the supporters club badges which have so far eluded him!

This is why I am hoping you may be able to help by printing my request in the Penarth Times in the hope that one of your kind readers may be able to help me by allowing me to purchase the above badges to help him finally complete his collection. This would make his Christmas a very happy one and I would be very grateful.

I do hope that you would be able to help as I know he has no other way of finally completing his collection.
