NOW that the Pier Pavilion is drawing visitors to Penarth, some form of signposting might indicate that a walk through the park would bring them to the town centre shops.
Also signs at the station would indicate the way to the seafront, and possibly the narrower side of the 'dolly' steps could be made into a ramp to give disabled access.
Perhaps traders might consider having Christmas market stalls on the seafront next year as a way to make local businesses better known.
