SO the government has decided to postpone indefinitely their plans to turn off analogue radio broadcasting in 2015.
As a follow up to a rather heated debate in the letters page (a couple of years ago) may I express my delight on hearing this news as it appears that barely a third of radio is being received from digital stations.
The owners of several million analogue sets across the UK can rest assured that their equipment will not end up as landfill, at least for some time.
Common sense prevails.
