I AM appealing to readers to volunteer for Marie Curie Cancer Care’s Great Daffodil Appeal, and help people with terminal illnesses in Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan get the care they need.

We’re looking for people who can donate an hour or two of their time to collect for Marie Curie by simply giving out daffodil pins in return for donations. We have a street collection in Barry Town Centre from Saturday, February 22, to Saturday, March 1, and we need as many volunteers as possible to help. We also have lots other collections in Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan if you are unable to collect at Barry Town Centre.

Marie Curie Nurses provide free care to people with terminal illnesses at the Marie Curie Hospice, Cardiff and the Vale. To ensure we can continue to provide this vital care we need people to help make this year’s Great Daffodil Appeal a great success.

If you’re able to donate a few hours to help someone in their final hours then please contact me on 02920 426068 or email Georgina.Burke@mariecurie.org.uk

Thank you for your support.
